  1. Hi James, I think is some real value in the presentation but I also think it is quite narrow in focus, when atemtping to compare transaction based systems to social systems. There have been many excellent collaboration environments around for a very long while and whilst they hadn’t got quite as far as today’s sociallly aware platforms they were really not that far away. An example being IBM Lotus Domino and Notes. Domino as an applications platform provided a vehicle for the concept of information and knowledge, rather than transactions
